About Kitchen & Butcher
K&B as it’s known to locals and visitors is about embodying our passion for great produce, sourced from the bounty of the Yarra Valley, the best of Victoria and further afield.
Established in 2006, K&B is situated next to the Healesville Hotel in the middle of the retail strip of Healesville. The shop itself has housed a butcher since it first opened back in the 1920’s.
K&B boasts two beautiful copper cheese cabinets which nurtures a carefully selected range of the best local and international cheeses. In 2016 K&B was expanded to include a production kitchen to further develop our range of house made meals, catering, handmade and small batch jams, relishes, pickles & preserves, granolas & spiced nuts.
Owners Alison & Ben Quaggin have lived locally for over 20 years & in 2015 purchased a small hobby farm in Chum Creek. There they live the true paddock to plate philosophy in raising their own beef & pork for the table along with having chickens for eggs a bee hive & vegetable garden. Taking over K&B in 2019 see the shops values fit in nicely with their lifestyle.
